Start with a free first conversation.

Send a part number or a short description. A free first conversation checks fit, availability and any procurement requirements. You then receive a proposed scope, deliverables, fee and dates before deciding on paid work.

Buying through a company? Check eligibility first.

Jerry currently provides this service as an individual under the AmpSheen name. Before detailed project work, check that your company can engage an individual service provider. State any company-only contracting or specific tax-invoice requirement at first contact.

Items to confirm before any paid appointment

  • Contracting and receiving-party names, and whether they match your vendor records.
  • An approved payment method, currency and any payment-processing requirements.
  • The invoice or receipt format your finance team requires, and the onboarding documents that can actually be provided. Do not pay until these are confirmed in writing.

SERVICE FEES · USD

Match the fee to the stage.

Each fee covers the stated scope. Before paid work, the written proposal confirms deliverables, dates and the fee you approve.

What these review fees cover

Supplier counts are contact limits, not a promise of qualified candidates or allocation. Technical reviews assess documents and propose validation; they do not include physical testing, certification or a guarantee of drop-in compatibility.

For components already selected

Order coordination

One supplier, one purchase order and one shipment: agreed order terms, progress follow-up and shipping-document coordination.

Fixed US$200 is the starting choice for the one-supplier, one-order, one-shipment scope shown here. A higher goods value alone does not change an agreed fixed fee.

When can a percentage fee apply?

Alternative by written agreement: 3% of component value, minimum US$200 per order. Consider this for an ongoing order-linked assignment whose coordination scope changes with the order. The quote names the included work, value basis and any cap; both parties choose before work starts.

Before approving an increase in order value, review the coordination fee too. If the work is unchanged, agree whether to retain a fixed fee or apply a cap. A percentage is never added to the same work already covered by a fixed fee. Sourcing and technical reviews have their own scope.

Payment, credit, expenses and changes

Payment by stage

The US$200 first review is paid before work starts. Larger projects normally use 50% on appointment and 50% on agreed delivery. Monthly support is paid at the start of the agreed month. Your proposal confirms the dates and revision allowance.

Credit for work already completed

When a first review expands into the same sourcing project, overlapping work is credited. A US$200 review that fits within the US$500 scope leaves US$300 to pay. The same work is never billed twice.

Third-party costs are separate

Samples, laboratory testing, certification, freight, duties and agreed travel are outside these fees. Expenses need your approval in advance. Any applicable tax on the service is identified in the written quote.

Clear completion and change terms

Delivery means completing the agreed work and explaining the findings, including exclusions or an absence of suitable candidates. Unanswered requests are recorded. A pause or cancellation is settled against completed stages; extra parts, follow-ups or shipment stages require an agreed change.

What should the service improve?
  • Price: compare total purchasing and validation cost.
  • Continuity: assess a second source and its qualification gaps.
  • Technical risk: identify evidence that could stop a purchase.
  • Team time: agree the communication and follow-up work to hand over.

Illustration only: a US$900 fee spread over 20,000 parts requires US$0.045 per part in first-year savings just to recover that fee. Samples, validation and other added costs increase the hurdle. This is not a quote or a predicted saving.

If you only need a small spot quote for an approved part, direct supplier contact may be more economical. Use the free first conversation to decide whether a paid review has a worthwhile question to answer.

Deliverables when evidence is missing or delayed

What an unanswered enquiry must still show

The handover records why each supplier was selected, contact channel and date, follow-up or escalation, responses and evidence references, unresolved questions, and the reason for stopping. It also recommends whether a further route is worth the added cost. The contact limit bounds the scope; sending the stated number of messages alone is not the completion criterion.

Agree two dates before paying

The proposal states the initial review delivery date and the cut-off for supplier evidence separately. Work starts after the required inputs, scope and agreed starting payment are complete. It lists missing inputs, follow-up limits and how delays are reported. A supplier delay does not silently move the initial review date; a change needs agreement. Ask for current availability in the free first conversation.

Supplier payments and independence

You pay suppliers directly.

AmpSheen charges you separately for the agreed work. These services are client-paid, without undisclosed supplier commissions. Any proposed supplier-linked payment needs separate written disclosure and your agreement before acceptance.

Inspect the handover for your stage

These examples explain how the work is documented. Your proposal ties the selected service to the part numbers, sources, questions and delivery date for your project.

01

Check a proposed supply route

You have a part number or a seller’s quote.

US$200: one specified part, up to 2 supplier contacts. US$500: 1–3 related parts, up to 5 contacts. The proposal identifies which route checks fit that allowance.

Discuss this task
You receive
A route record, document checklist, commercial comparison basis and unresolved questions.
Inputs, work, completion and exclusions

From first note to a usable handover
  1. 01

    Describe the task

A part number or a short description is enough for first contact. The initial reply target is two working days: Monday–Friday, UTC+8, excluding mainland China statutory public holidays. Weekends are excluded even when designated as make-up working days. This is a general-enquiry target, not an emergency procurement commitment.

  2. 02

    Agree the stage

Jerry confirms fit and availability, asks the essential questions and sends the proposed scope, fee, schedule and completion criteria. No paid work starts without agreement.

  3. 03

    Work from a shared record

The project uses a dated source list, question log and decision record. Agree the update rhythm and flag a blocked item instead of silently extending the work.

  4. 04

    Review and hand over

Receive the agreed files and open issues. Clarify the report, then decide whether to stop, collect more evidence or commission the next stage.

Responsibilities, availability and specialist work

What I take responsibility for

Within the agreed scope: record where information came from; distinguish supplier statements from independent results; show material differences and missing evidence; keep the issue history; and correct a substantiated error in my deliverable. The proposal sets any wider revision allowance. Supplier approval, design acceptance and the purchase remain yours; those decisions should be supported by a record you can inspect.

Working directly with Jerry

Jerry is the service contact and project lead. Before accepting work, the proposal confirms availability, communication hours and the update schedule. Planned absences and a handover date are discussed in advance. Project notes and deliverables can be handed over in ordinary files; no substitute is given access to your information without agreement.

Where the work is strongest

Materials-informed component comparison, MLCC/passive-component requirements, reliability-document review and communication with Chinese manufacturers. Inductors and power-device sourcing can include supplier and test coordination; specialist circuit design, safety approval and laboratory execution need the appropriate engineers or providers agreed for that project.
